Setting up a Precious Metals IRA

Are you looking to diversify your retirement accounts to make sure your financially prepared for retirement in the future? If so, BGASC can help.

Since BGASC is not an IRA custodian, you'll have to choose an IRA custodian, either from BGASC's preferred list or any other company of your choosing. Your IRA custodian will help open and fund your account and set up for your precious metals to be stored at one of the IRS-approved depositories.

Once your account is set up and funded, you can work with a member of the BGASC team to choose the IRS-approved gold and silver pieces you wish to invest in. To make a purchase for an IRA with BGASC, you must meet the investment minimum of $30,000.

After you choose the metals you'd like to add to your account, BGASC will take care of shipping them to the depository of your choice for safe and secure storage.

Selling Precious Metals to BGASC

BGASC does more than just sell precious metals. The company will also purchase precious metals from individuals. If you have some coins or bars that you would like to sell, start by taking inventory of what you have.

BGASC only purchases larger quantities of precious metals, so you'll need to confirm that you meet their minimums. You can find the chart posted on the website that lists the minimum for each coin type.

If you meet their minimum requirement, you can call BGASC to set up the sale or even a trade. After confirming the sale, your price will be locked in, and you can then ship your items to BGASC. They will send you payment via bank wire, a check, or an account credit after your metals have been verified.

Are There Any Red Flags for BGASC?

BGASC Review

Before you decide to give your business to a company, it is always important to identify whether there are any red flags. Red flags are signs that something is not right with the company, the customer service they provide, their trustworthiness and honesty, or the quality of the products they offer.

Since it can often be difficult to determine this information on your own before you've actually done business, checking with online reviews from past customers can help give you some useful information. When you read about the experiences others have had, it can help you get a feel for what you can expect should you decide to give your business to BGASC.

We consulted five well-known and trusted review sites while writing this review about BGASC. As you can see below, three of the sites (Business Consumer Alliance, TrustLink, and Google) did not have any customer review listed. The Better Business Bureau had an average review of 3.86 out of 5 with 14 reviews and Trustpilot had an average review of 4.8 out of 5 with over 6,000 reviews.

Is BGASC a Scam?

BGASC Review

No, we would definitely not consider BGASC a scam company. They are a Better Business Accredited Business with an A+ rating. BGASC also has an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot with over 6,000 reviews. This information tells us that most customers who have worked with BGASC have been happy with the services they have provided. You should feel comfortable giving your business to BGASC and should not be worried about getting scammed.

BGASC is certainly a real company, however we think there are some better options out there for you to consider. First, unlike some of our top-recommended companies, BGASC is not an IRA custodian. You'll have to select a separate IRA custodian company to work with and then purchase precious metals for your account through BGASC. While there isn't necessarily anything wrong with this, it is easier to choose one company that can take care of all the aspects of setting up your IRA. It just makes less work and less paperwork for you.

We also wish that BGASC offered free shipping for all orders like many other companies do. If you spend less than $5,000 you have to pay $9.95 for shipping. You need to spend at least $5,000 to receive free shipping.

  • BGASC has an A+ rating from the BBB and is a BBB accredited business.
  • Insurance is included with all orders.
  • If you spend over $5,000, you'll receive free shipping.
  • The company has a nice selection of gold and silver coins and bars available.
  • You can sell your precious metals to BGASC.
  • BGASC offers a 3-day return policy.
  • Most orders ship within five days, if not sooner.

Pros & Cons of BGASC

Final Verdict

BGASC is a legitimate company that is highly reviewed by many of its past customers. However, they are not one of our top picks for the best precious metals investment company. We'd recommend having a look at one of our most-trusted gold investment companies instead.

Although we think BGASC is a pretty solid company, they did not make our top 5 list. We believe that the companies on this list provide better options.
